Is the technology plugging the void

dumbing it down

keeping us from free thinking

Connected at all times

yet never further 

Shaping minds like an assembly line

You finally get to a place where you checked all the boxes

only to realize that there was still an emptiness

There was never a timeline

You just needed to listen to the small voice inside

Not now you said, I am busy

So you pushed it down

until the day came when you wanted to dig it back up
